Consider:
"Sometimes I have so much to do that I don't do anything." -- Thomas Sowell.

Dear Folks,

Summertime, when the living is easy..... unless you have too much to do. And this weekend is one of those where there is too much to do and too little time to do it. So pick and choose carefully, but be sure to come by La Papoñita on Sunday, as always at 14:00 (2 pm), to see everyone, to tell about your experiences, and to enjoy the company. Oh, yes, you have have something to eat, too.... :-)

So what all is going on?

1. Blueberries, two possibilities to get some::

a) Again there will be blueberry picking at Pilar´s farm. The sun and the rain have produced much more fruit. Pilar will be open for pickers and will have other things for sale as well.

SATURDAY, DECEMBER 7
10:00am - 3:00pm

(Drive inland on Ruta 11 from Atlántida. When you see the windmill to your left, turn right on the next road. Her driveway is the second turn on the left from this road.)

Let me know if you need more detailed instructions to get there.

b) And from Alex:

We have so much fruit that it will be impossible
for us to pick it all, so we have made a CRAZY decision

Starting today through the end of the day next Saturday there will be is an entrance fee of just $500 pesos per person (kids under 7 are free) and you can pick all the berries you can pick in 2 hours. This opportunity will allow you to stock enough blueberries to eat some, freeze some and make jam for months to come.

NOTE: Calling in advance is advisable, and please bring hats, sunscreen, repellent, small and large buckets and a big ice box if you have one. To make the experience even more enjoyable you can enjoy a picnic here. Punta Negra has a wonderful beach just 4 minutes away. Horses for rent are available (reservations recommended). If you come with kids it’s better to avoid the hot hours of mid-day.

We have had many pickers so far this year, and all have agreed that our berries are the most flavorful of all the years they have been picking at our farm. We encourage you to spread the word to friends and relatives so as to let them know about our healthy, chemical-free berries.

ADDRESS: On Ruta Interbalneria at Km 106 there is a conspicuous ARANDANOS sign and a white tent. Contact CRAZY Alex to let him know you’re coming! 094 301 684 or berrypde@yahoo.com

We want to THANK all the nice people that support our business, like our berries and our service.

The photo above was taken this morning! Come to our farm - pick as many berries as you can in 2 hours – eat some, freeze some and make jam for months to come out of the rest. Yum – yum!

Regards,

Alex ~ the Blueberry Man

2. Then there is the crafts fair:

The opening of the evening craft fair at Parque Rodó called Ideasmas ("Ideas+" - www.ideasmas.com) which will run to the 24th...; and

3. Also on Saturday for those interested--in Spanish, since you won't really benefit if you don't unterstand the language:
