Uruguay Beef Stew Recipe

Serves 4 people

Difficulty: Easy

Ingredients for making beef stew.

500g Beef
1 can chopped tomatoes or natural.
1 chili pepper.
1 carrot cut into small cubes.
1 onion onion.
1 clove of garlic.
2 bay leaves.
Salt to taste.
Vegetable broth.

How making beef stew.

Cut the meat into pieces. Chop the onions and sauté in two tablespoons of oil. Add the cuts of meat, tomatoes, peppers, carrots and seasonings. Then add a cup of soup broth. Begin to cook over low heat for a half hour, stirring occasionally. If it gets too dry, continue to add to the broth. Meat must stay very tender.

You can add diced potatoes or yams, to make a more complete stew.

A popular phrase in Uruguay about this recipe is "the bay leaf is on your plate, you must do the dishes" (hahaha)
