Hospital Saint Bois
Saint Bois Hospital is located in the Melilla district in the capital city of Montevideo, the capital city of Uruguay. This is a landmark building that originally was used to care for patients released from other hospitals.
The doors to this hospital opened on November 18, 1928.This Hospital in Uruguay was also used to treat and cure tuberculosis which was very common at that time.
Today, Saint Bois Hospital is also an Eye Center that helps to create a better quality of life for the
people of Uruguay.
The Uruguayan
government awards medical sholarships. The recipients of these scholarships often travel to Cuba to further their studies.
They study in Cuba because of the high quality of medical education and training.
Upon completion of their studies, they will return to Sant Bois Hospital to further their studies often under the watchful eye of both Uruguayan and Cuban doctors
